ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dinorah Graue is a Mexican nature photographer, and a chemist by profession. She developed her artistic side after moving to Costa Rica from her home country, where she fell in love with its extraordinary biodiversity. She has a degree in photography and digital media from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and a sustainable clothing brand (Kialä), whose designs are directly inspired from her photography.
She was awarded the Sony Alpha Female Award in 2022. More recently, in 2023, she was named the Open Photographer of the Year in the Sony World Photography Awards and represented Mexico at the Singapore World Photographic Cup. Her photography has crossed borders, being exhibited in Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Argentina, Italy, the United States, Japan, Vietnam, Germany and Mexico.
In collaboration with the Mexican Embassy in Costa Rica, the “Instituto de Mexicanos en el Exterior” or IME granted her the “Distinguished Mexican Award” on September 13th, 2023.
